Biography
Predrag Vuckovic was born on 17 February 1973 in Belgrade where he officially lives today. Constant travelling all around the world has contributed to his entering into the world of photography. It all started on an amateur level when he was taking photographs solely as a treat, whereas later it turned into professionalism and a serious business.
Officially he has been dealing with photography since 1989 when with an ordinary camera he started creating a world of marvellous images. At that time his main preoccupation was taking part in the majority of extreme sports and his specialty was riding a BMX in freestyle discipline. While he was travelling and participating in various competitions all around Europe, he brought the best result from the World Championship placing seventh. He was renowned as the national champion in the whole of former Yugoslavia. Simultaneously his new preoccupation emerged in the form of snowboarding, where he was one of the first men whose board touched the ground in Yugoslavia. During all this time his camera was one of his inseparable friends, with whom he was creating memories of all the beginnings of extreme sports of that time. Rollerblading, skateboarding, windsurfing, diving and many others remained captured in many shots which were then passing through his camera (he also took part in many of these sports and he still continues to participate in them).
In 1999 his life started moving in a totally different direction due to the opening of his fitness club EXTREME GYM. Bodybuilding and fitness became one of his main preoccupations and he started being active in these disciplines. Thus his photographs started moving in a completely new direction, taking up a completely new form.
In 2001 he started photographing fitness models for a couple of foreign magazines and dealing with studio shots he had had no contact with before. In 2002 he founded an agency for marketing and publishing, X-FITNESS, and started publishing the only bodybuilding and fitness magazine, which has remained the only magazine of the kind in Serbia to the present day. Through the magazine, his photographs have been playing an important role creating a magazine of very high quality, and the cooperation itself has spread to a few European and US magazines where it has taken its place.
Today he is one of two official IFBB photographers for the whole Europe. His shots can now be found on many websites and in many magazines in this field.
Since he has always felt certain attachment to extreme sports, in 2006 conditions were established for starting the magazine X-SPORTS which includes about thirty extreme sports, adventures, challenges and actions. It is also the only magazine of the kind in Serbia which is in a very short time took its place among the host of various magazines from all the possible fields. Through publishing X-FITNESS and X-SPORTS the existing agency transformed into EXTREME MEDIA company, which today deals with preparing various advertisements in many other magazines, photographing a number of celebrities and communicating with the public through the shots Predrag Vuckovic creates. Studio and sports photography are prevalent, and Mr. Vuckovic continues to be renowned as one of EXTREME photographers, who takes images of a number of extreme sports, he himself taking part in them and being knowledgeable about many tricks and the terms for them.
His pics have been published in lot of magazines all over the world and with a number of domestic and foreign companies and magazines. Apart from his magazines X-FITNESS and X-SPORTS, there are automobile magazines TopSpeed and TopOffRoad, Muscle & Fitness, Flex, Fitness, Body, GQ, Playboy, Men's Health, Extreme Sport, Scuba Diver, Maxim, CKM, Moto Magazine, Travel, Musclemag, Adventure magazine, FHM, Love BMX, Windsurfer...
