Ride like a Gentleman - The 2018 Distinguished Gentlemans Ride - Belgrade/Serbia
This year I had the honor and pleasure of covering The Distinguished Gentleman's ride in Belgrade 2018. Being my home city, Belgrade is a place especially close to my heart, and covering events on my home territory always come with a personal connection and a sense of homecoming.
All the more important, The Distinguished Gentleman's ride is a charity event aimed at raising male prostate cancer awareness, because it is an estimated cause of death of 1300 men per day.
Belgrade, also known as the White City, a City that never sleeps, is the capital and largest city of Serbia. It is located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, where the Pannonian Plain meets the Balkans.
The urban area of the City of Belgrade has a population of 1.23 million people, making it the most densely populated city of Serbia, and is a political, cultural center of the country.
This year's manifestation is being held in Belgrade for the fourth year in a row, and is the largest charitable motorcycle event, featuring vintage style bikes and vintage style riders! Retro tweed suits, mustaches, and classic cafe racers are a very well-known motif inspired by the world-popular television series Mad Men, and a well-known and an impressionable trademark of the event.
