The Photokina is the world’s largest trade fair held in Europe for the photographic and imaging industries. It is the only event in the world that offers a comprehensive presentation of all the imaging media, imaging technologies and imaging markets for consumers and professionals alike.

This year I will have special honor to be the part of this the biggest photo event through motivational presentation “Extreme Sports Photography around the Globe” that is going to take place on 21st September at the main stage of Photokina. I will be sharing the stage with my colleague Joerg Mitter and we will talk about our constant traveling around the globe on the hunt for the best and unique action sports photographs.
Through our stories we will try to describe some incredible situations on events that followed us on our photo shootings over the past 10 years. We will also mention, based on our experiences, what the photographers can expect if they tend to travel into more than 80 countries, spend more than 400 hours in helicopters or over 1000 hours underwater in constant search for the perfect moment. Last but not least, we will present small part of our photographs from our portfolios which were published world wide by world renowned press agencies, in daily news papers, on magazine cover pages and web portals.

The first Photokina was held in Cologne, Germany, in 1950, and since 1966 it is held biennially in September at the Koelnmesse Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre. Many photographic and imaging companies introduce and showcase state of the art imaging products at Photokina.

From 20-25 September 2016 in Cologne visitors can submerge into the fascinating possibilities of images and experience at photokina that equally inspires pros, traders, hobby photographers and young “smartphoners” like never before with countless events and promotions.
