Long-planned photoshooting finally came up with one of the best Serbian athlete and the youngest Olympic kayaker from London 2012, Aleksandar Aleksić. The location for this photoshooting was Belgrade’s most beautiful lake Ada Ciganlija, in the ambience where this sport belongs and in the location that is my specialty – WATER!

The plan was to create unique images that best represent this great athlete and his sport.
Right at the beginning I knew that this will be a spectacular photoshooting as motivation, which we both shared in this project, was more than present. Also that day was exactly what we wanted it to be… sunny with pieces of mysterious clouds in the sky.

WHO IS ALEKSANDAR ALEKSIC?

Aleksandar was born in Šabac in 1992. He trains at Zorka kayak club in Šabac with Miroslav Aleksić as his trainer. Currently competes in K4/1000m. He began his kayak practise in 2004 after he droped out of water polo due to bad conditions at the pool venue in Sabac. He opted out for kayak because he had family tradition in that sport (his grandfather and father both were into kayaking). He won his first medal in 2005 at local competition in Sremska Mitrovica. The following year he took first place in the state in 500 meters single seat kayak. After that the success was something he got used to, and in 2007 he joined the Serbian national team in competition in Poland. Few years later he became the youngest kayak competitior in London Olympic games 2010.
