Predrag Vuckovic has been awarded the Special Prize for Global Promotion of the Region (the Balkans) at the prestigious “Leaders of Tourism 2025” ceremony, organized by the agency First Media Group and the leading travel industry website putovanjaiturizam.com. The recognition comes as a result of his photo-book series From a Different Perspective, through which Vučković has captured, well-known, lesser-known, and completely undiscovered locations across Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I’m used to letting my photographs speak for me, and this award may be one of the most beautiful examples of that. This photo monograph trilogy, titled From a Different Perspective, tells some of the most beautiful, hidden, and previously unseen stories of our region, captured across numerous locations in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is precisely these images, and the stories they convey, that led to an award like this ending up in my hands – said Vuckovic.

Set in the magnificent Atrium of the National Museum in Belgrade, where Serbian national history is preserved, the future of Balkan tourism was presented in a special event. The Leaders in Tourism 2025 awards ceremony brought together the most influential figures in the industry, government officials, and regional visionaries at an event that set new standards of professional excellence.
The awards honored those who, in 2025, boldly redefined the meaning of hospitality and tourism. Among the laureates were tourist organizations, municipalities, ethno-villages, spas, mountain resorts, hotels, wineries, and individuals.
The organizers selected the best hotel in Serbia, wellness and spa hotel of the year, mountain resort of the year, ethno-village of the year, tourist organization of the year, and the hotel that offered a premium guest experience.
Additionally, awards were presented for the most promising tourism project, the best summer destination in the region, and the most promising mountain resort in the region. The jury also selected the tourist destination of the year, the best city tourism promotion, the best promotion of multicultural heritage, and excellence in the preservation of cultural heritage.
Special awards were given for outstanding contribution to the development of tourism, media contribution to tourism development, cultural institution of the year, sports-tourism event of the year, winery of the year, global promotion of the region, and travel influencer of the year.
The elegance of the statuettes was complemented by performances from the ballet school and a pop star, while the awards were presented by well-known figures from the Balkan public scene.
Celebrating six years of influence on the market, the “Putovanja i turizam” website once again affirmed that tourism is more than travel, it is leadership that shapes the world.
